A loon family glides across the smooth lake waters in another version of Derk Hansen's Land of the Free series.  Common Loons are powerful, agile divers that catch small fish in fast underwater chases.  They have been known to dive to as much as 200 feet, and remain underwater an average 30-45 seconds.
