Jerry Gadamus Brule River Morning

In Brule River Morning, Jerry Gadamus has painted the clothing of a Native American laying on the bank, indicative of an early morning swim.  The Brule River was first used by the Chippewa Native Americans as a main route in transporting wares from the inland to Lake Superior and beyond.  Today it forms part of the boundary between Wisconsin and Michigan.
